Lindsay Lennon joined UNC Charlotte in 2021 as the Communications and Events Manager for the School of Data Science. She is responsible for organizing weekly seminars with guest speakers from the data science industry and two large-scale annual conferences (the Analytics Frontiers Conference and the Women in Data Science Conference), each attracting approximately 400-500 attendees. This planning process involves coordinating with speakers, sponsors, hotel and catering staff, and audio/visual teams to ensure the conferences run smoothly and attract strong participation from attendees and sponsor companies.
Lindsay also creates graphics, newsletters, website content, news articles, and social media posts to increase engagement and awareness for the School of Data Science. She works closely with campus partners and external vendors to organize campaigns relating to the School’s programs and its conferences.
Lindsay moved to Charlotte from Connecticut, where she worked for five years at the Yale School of Management as a Program Coordinator for the Program on Social Enterprise. She was responsible for organizing international travel for student projects in India, Brazil, Indonesia, and Kenya.
Lindsay earned two bachelor’s degrees in Marketing and Business Management, with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from Central Connecticut State University.
