Carly Mahedy
Carly Mahedy has been with UNC Charlotte since 2009 in various roles, leading up to her current position as the Director of Student Services at the School of Data Science (SDS). In her role, she oversees recruitment, admission, advising, enrollment, assessment, internship coordination, and special events for the graduate programs in Health Informatics & Analytics (HIA) and Data Science & Business Analytics (DSBA). Carly collaborates with SDS Program Directors to develop and implement strategies for achieving application, enrollment, and diversity goals. She represents the program at recruitment fairs, open house events, corporate visits, classroom visits, and professional conferences. In her role as Graduate Advisor, Carly guides students in pre-registration planning, permit and authorizations, and academic planning. Carly reviews and approves special requests and collaborates on policy and curriculum revisions.
Previously, Carly worked as an Academic Advisor at the Belk College of Business at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Carly also served as the Interim Assistant Director for the Business Honors Program, managing admissions and data analysis, and as the Prospective Student Activities Coordinator. Carly earned a Master of Arts degree in Higher Education Administration from The University of Alabama and a bachelor’s degree in History from Central Michigan University.
