Dr. SungJune Park Named DSBA Graduate Program Director

After three years as graduate program director of the Data Science and Business Analytics program, Dr. Chandra Subramaniam has announced his intention to step down from the position on July 1st, 2020. Dr. Subramaniam will become the chair of the Department of Business Information Systems & Operations Management in the Belk College of Business.

The School of Data Science would like to thank Dr. Subramaniam for his years of service and leadership, as he was instrumental in the launch of the School. He also established three new graduate-level bootcamp courses and guided a comprehensive curriculum review and revision within the DSBA program.

Dr. SungJune Park, professor of Management Information Systems in the Belk College of Business has been appointed as the new DSBA graduate program director. Since joining UNC Charlotte, he has taught a variety of courses in business analytics, data communications, information security, application development, e-business and supply chain management. His research has appeared in many academic publications, journals, conference proceedings and edited books.
